So far this year, the company has increased its workforce by 21.5%, which translates into eleven new qualified jobs. Of these, seven have been filled by women.
Among the new occupations are two mechanical design engineers, a draughtswoman, a communications and marketing manager, a purchasing technician, a project manager engineer and an engineer specializing in PRL, Quality and LEAN Manufacturing. Two engineers have also joined the company, one a robot programmer and the other a mechanical design engineer.
With this increase, the company now has eleven women in its workforce, representing 22% of the total. This figure is significantly higher than the average for the sector if we take into account that of the 10,322 workers in the metal sector in Burgos, only 1,355 are women, which represents 13%.
Sinterpack closed 2017 with 40 workers, but the increase in production and consequently, the growth of the company, has generated the need to increase the human team; and currently there are already 51 people working in the plant.
In line with Sinterpack’s philosophy and its intention to generate quality employment, five of the new contracts are permanent, while the rest are intended to become permanent in the coming months.
The organization, which supports talent and equal opportunities, is aware of the importance and need for society to achieve real equality between men and women, and according to its CEO, Sergio Pelegry, “We strive to achieve this by hiring based on merit and worth, not gender. At Sinterpack, the salary remuneration for a given job will always be the same, regardless of the gender of the person who performs it“.
Another of the company’s premises is its commitment to total personal and family reconciliation, offering, for example, both mothers and fathers of young children the option of working partially from home.
